I went in to scoop some poop the other day and she insisted on coming along.
You put your left hoof on the wheelbarrow handle, and you shake it all about....
Who me? I didn't do that. No, I'm not cleaning that up!
By the way, Luna's pinned back ear look always cracks me up. She gives that to me on the longe line when she doesn't want to go to the left and tries to turn around on me. She can be such a teenager!
Luna also loves to play in the water. I noticed her trough was pretty muddied up the other day, I think she got a leg in it. And she dumped the muck bucket of water from a corral at the ranch. To try to help her need to be playful, I had an idea.
Ranch Boy and I got a Jolly Ball at the feed store. Well, she looked interested.....
But then something more interesting on the other side of the fence caught her eye.
What could it be?
Oh, of course! Pets and loves from Ranch Boy's daughter and her new Palomino pony, Misty.
Aw shucks. The ball has sat in the pasture untouched so far. I thought for sure she'd pick it up by the handle and play with it. We shall see.....
I hope you all had a great weekend!!

I bought Phoenix a jolly ball seeing as he seems so mouthy, but he still just wants to play with a rope
I have NEVER had a horse (or pony or donkey) play with those darn Jolly Balls! At least Hera (the LGD) enjoys them.
Meanwhile the equines rip off tarps or fence boards, good grief!
I also bought Chance a Jolly Ball. I never saw her play with it until about a year later, she was kicking it like a soccer ball! But that was the last time she touched it. The babies at the farm will play with Jolly Balls in their stalls. Some of them anyway!
Luna does have the cutest expressions!! She is adorable!!
Haha of course horses wont play with actual horse toys! People toys (and kids) are so much funner, lol.
We bought a jolly ball for our 2 horses thinking they would play with it, it sat for 6 months before they started playing with it. They played with it a couple times and then de-inflated it. lol
you know what babies love...those HUGE balls!!! Jesse and Lady both lave to chase after them...only I am on them. Never had them out for free play with one, however, they aren't cheep :(((
Luna is really petty :)))
What a cute little helper you have there :) Three of mine play with Jolly Balls and once in a while you will see two of them deflate the ball and play tug-o-war with it.
Well, I have been away from blogging forever, but I see PonyBoy is looking good and you have a new baby. That is great. And I love the new blog digs you have!
Wishing the best. :)
My horse loves water! She loves to drink from the hose and have me pour water all over her. A few weekends ago, I rode her as she swam across a little pond! I must confess, I love that Jolly Ball. I like the name of it for one thing--sounds so playful and fun. I wonder if some horses actually feel afraid of it? Is that little girl a cowgirl already? I hope so!
